Readerly Support

Readerly is an iPhone app for tracking the books you read, made by Joe Villarino, an independent developer.

Get in touch

If your version of Readerly includes Settings → Send Feedback, you can use it to report a problem or suggest a feature. Choose a category, add a subject and message, and optionally attach a screenshot. Review it, then tap Submit Feedback. If sending fails, your draft remains open so you can retry. Keep the submission reference shown after success if you want to ask about or delete that feedback.

Feedback goes to a private inbox and is emailed to Readerly's operator, including your chosen screenshot. Active Cloudflare inbox records are kept for up to 30 days; operator email copies are retained separately while needed to handle your request. Feedback does not automatically include your reading data or device details. See the Privacy Policy for retention and recovery-copy details.

For a reply, personal help, or a version without Send Feedback, email:

I read everything. You can include your iPhone model and iOS version when useful for a bug report; the in-app feedback form does not collect these automatically.

Common questions

Do I need an account?

No. Readerly has no accounts and no login. Your library lives on your iPhone.

Where is my reading data stored?

On your device, in the app's own private storage. It isn't uploaded anywhere and I have no way to see it. See the Privacy Policy for detail.

Can I bring my library over from Goodreads or The StoryGraph?

Yes. Export your library as a CSV from that service, then in Readerly tap the + button in the Library tab and choose Import from CSV.

Your ratings, page counts, shelves, and finish dates come across with the books, and anything already in your library is skipped rather than duplicated.

What does Readerly Pro include?

Readerly includes the full tracker for free: adding books, scanning barcodes, logging sessions, tracking progress, importing a library, shareable stat cards, and part of the Insights dashboard — the Books Finished, Day Streak, Pages Read and Hours Listened tiles, plus books finished by month and your print, digital and audio mix. Readerly Pro adds the rest of that dashboard: fifteen more charts, year-by-year views, drill-downs into the books behind a number, and sharing for every chart it unlocks.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by Readerly. On your iPhone, go to Settings → your name → Media & Purchases → Subscriptions, or open Manage Subscriptions.

Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

I subscribed but Pro isn't showing up

Open Settings inside Readerly and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account you subscribed with.

Why does Readerly want camera access?

Only to scan a book's barcode so you don't have to type its details in. The scan happens entirely on your device and no image is ever stored or sent anywhere. You can decline it and add books by typing instead.

How do I delete my data?

Delete individual books and sessions inside the app, or delete the app from your iPhone to remove everything at once. Deleting is permanent. Submitted feedback is separate from your local library. Email the support address above with its submission reference to request earlier inbox deletion.
